Having bought vintage gear from Andy previously, I knew his knowledge of all things guitar related was second to none, but living 150 miles away made using his repair/maintenance services not realistic. Having used a couple of guitar chaps near me to try to iron out a sustain issue high up the neck on my Charvel Model 5 without success, exasperated, I contacted Andy and asked if he’d look at the guitar. He stripped it down, identified the problem quickly, rectified it and shipped it back to me extremely well packaged up all within 24 hours. Despite the distance I’d have no issues sending my guitars to Andy for any work required.
