Here we have a mint condition, Guild Newark St. Collection Bluesbird electric guitar in Iced Tea Burst finish. Built in Korea in 2016 this guitar features a Chambered Mahogany body with a Carved Maple top, a ‘C’ profile Mahogany neck, a 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard, along with a pair of Seymour Duncan USA humbuckers, wired to dual volume/tone controls, and a 3-way toggle switch.

The Bluesbird reflects Guild’s return to yet another historic solid body model. Originally released in 1970 as the solid body counterpart to the M-75 Aristocrat, the Bluesbird was subject to a few design changes over the decades. Today’s reissue features a carved maple top and maintains many of the aesthetic traits of the M-75 Bluesbird of the late 60s. Its lightweight chambered mahogany body allows for improved resonance and unparalleled comfort, making this guitar one of the lightest in its class. The Bluesbird features a 24 3/4” scale, and fast-playing vintage C shaped neck. While many of the Bluesbird’s specifications remain faithful to the original model, today’s updated version comes equipped with USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups, as well as a TonePros locking tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece to offer the most versatile version of this guitar to date. Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines and Guild’s deluxe padded gig bag round out this ultimate package. The Bluesbird is in an Iced Tea Burst with a flamed maple top.

The gloss finish neck plays well, with a fairly moderate ‘C’ profile, with a very slight flattening to the center, giving comfortable and ergonomic thumb positioning. The body balances well and feels pleasantly lightweight thanks to the chambered construction, giving a lively playing experience while keeping feedback well under control.

The 69 SH-1 and JB SH-4 humbuckers sound thick and full, with a fairly vintage-inspired voicing, offering a warm low end, a tight and punchy midrange, along with a clear, open high end, cutting well through a mix and driving the front end of an amplifier while still offering plenty of dynamic control. Overall a great workhorse guitar with a lovely vintage vibe!

This guitar has barely been played hence the showroom condition. Comes with an optional scratchplate & Guild padded gig bag.
