Here we have a lovely 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard, Faded Cherry Sunburst.
Gibson’s Faded Les Paul Standard has found favour among tone savvy players thanks to its woody tone and great looks. Basically a Les Paul Standard without the thick, glossy finish. The mahogany body adds warmth while the carved AA, figured maple top adds brightness and beauty. The 1 piece mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Zebra coil Burstbucker Pro pickups dish out classic tone with increased bite and midrange. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Kluson style tuners round out the package.
This girl is showing very minor all round wear, her fets are perfect, she is all original and plays and sounds amazing. The rare non-chambered body weighs in at 9lbs-3oz and the two BurstBucker Pros add up to incredible tone and sustain. She sleeps in her original black Gibson case.
Gibson no longer offers the Faded Les Paul Standard. A real shame as they were a lot of guitar for the Money. Many players find these to be great guitars for stage and studio. A real head-turner and something inventively different from the standard les paul. A Les Paul with vintage vibe at an affordable price.
